Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide treatment for various forms of malocclusion and teeth irregularities
• Perform diagnostic tests using X-rays and plaster molds to identify dental issues
• Fit braces, brackets, and other orthodontic appliances to correct teeth positioning
• Schedule routine check-ups to track treatment progress and adjust appliances as needed
• Advise patients on proper dental care and oral hygiene practices
• Collaborate with orthodontist assistants to ensure patients receive comprehensive care
• Perform dentofacial orthopedics to enhance the general appearance of patients
• Determine when applied braces should be removed
• Assist patients in resolving dental or oral problems, including speech-related issues
Qualifications
• MDS in Orthodontics from a recognized institution
• Valid registration with Dental Council of India (DCI) or relevant state dental council
Skills Required
• Strong expertise in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics
• Proficient in diagnostic procedures and appliance adjustments
• Excellent patient communication and education skills
• Detail-oriented with high precision in clinical procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively with dental assistants and multidisciplinary teams
