Role & Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and evaluate occupational health programs to prevent work-related illnesses and injuries
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and provide recommendations to management on occupational health matters
• Design and implement health surveillance programs to monitor the health status of workers exposed to occupational hazards
• Keep line managers, department heads, and other stakeholders informed about updates, trends, and best practices in Occupational Medicine that may impact workplace health, safety, and productivity
Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with specialization in Occupational Medicine (Board-certified or Master's degree in Occupational Health and Industrial Medicine)
• Valid license to practice as an Occupational Medicine Specialist in Qatar, including completion of the Qatari evaluation and Dataflow verification for foreign specialists
Experience
• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in Occupational Medicine or a related field, preferably in the medical sector
• At least 5-6 years of experience in the GCC region in a similar or equivalent role within a Commercial or Industrial Occupational Health Department
Certifications
• Certified Occupational Medicine Specialist (COMS)
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Skills
• Strong knowledge of occupational health policies, risk assessments, and health surveillance
• Ability to provide guidance and recommendations on occupational health issues
• Excellent communication skills to engage with management and stakeholders on health and safety matters
• Experience in developing and implementing health and safety programs tailored to workplace environments
