Role & Responsibilities:
• Convert patient health information into alphanumeric codes for medical claims
• Review doctors’ medical reports including diagnosis, prescriptions, and procedures
• Ensure accurate coding to support medical claims and insurance processes
• Maintain proper documentation and timely submission of coded data
• Follow standard coding guidelines and compliance protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and coding team for smooth workflow
• Participate in training and upskilling programs to enhance coding accuracy
• Handle queries from clients regarding coding and documentation
Qualification:
• UG: BHMS, BAMS, BDS, BUMS, BPT, Nursing/GNM, B.Tech/B.E. (Biomedical, Biotechnology, Biochemistry), Life Sciences, Microbiology, Optometry, Clinical Nutrition, Medical Lab Technology, Pharmacy, and related fields
• PG: M.Sc / M.Tech / M.Pharma / MDS in relevant fields (optional)
• Doctorate: Not mandatory
Experience:
• Fresher to 3 years of experience in medical coding or related healthcare roles
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology preferred
Skills:
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in coding
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Teamwork and problem-solving capabilities
