Role & Responsibilities
• Provide consultant-level critical care management for ICU patients
• Lead diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of critically ill patients
• Supervise and guide ICU medical officers, residents, and nursing staff
• Perform and oversee critical care procedures as per best clinical practice
• Ensure compliance with international ICU protocols and patient safety standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and clinical decision-making
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance
• Communicate effectively with patients’ families regarding care plans and prognosis
Qualification
• Relevant medical qualification with ICU / Critical Care specialization
• Western-trained qualification (mandatory)
Experience
• 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience as an ICU Consultant or equivalent
• Experience in tertiary or advanced critical care settings preferred
License / Registration
• Eligible for medical licensure in Dubai (DHA or equivalent)
Skills
• Strong critical care and emergency decision-making skills
• Expertise in ICU protocols, ventilation, and advanced life support
• Leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent communication and patient-safety orientation
