Visiting Medical Officer

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive Specialist General Medicine services at Grafton Base Hospital and other facilities
• Participate in clinical leadership and quality improvement activities
• Provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines
• Contribute to a healthy community through quality patient care
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing leadership as required

Qualification
• Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Physician or equivalent
• Specialist international medical pathways or MBA Registration in another Physician specialty with appropriate advanced training and/or experience

Experience
• Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Medicine
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement
• Availability to participate in on-call roster and respond on-site within a reasonable time

Skills
• Strong clinical communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to use information technology effectively for clinical communication
• Commitment to continuing professional development and self-education
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a dynamic clinical environment
