Trainee Executive - Process Development

Roles & Responsibilities
• Support Upstream Process Development (USP) and Downstream Process Development (DSP) activities for biosimilars
• Thaw cell banks and scale up cultures from shake flasks to bench-top bioreactors (CHO/microbial systems)
• Prepare and optimize media formulations to enhance cell growth and protein yield
• Monitor and control bioreactor parameters including pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, and agitation
• Perform routine sampling to assess cell viability, density, and metabolite levels
• Harvest and clarify cultures using centrifugation or filtration techniques
• Execute chromatography purification using Protein A, Ion Exchange, and Size Exclusion methods
• Operate purification systems such as ÄKTA/NGC for protein recovery
• Perform viral clearance and nanofiltration processes
• Conduct ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UF/DF) for protein concentration and buffer exchange
• Maintain accurate documentation as per GMP-like standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams for process optimization

Qualification
• M.Pharm (Masters of Pharmacy) or M.Sc in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology

Experience
• Freshers only (2024/2025 pass-outs preferred)
• No prior industry experience required

Skills
• Strong knowledge of cell culture, bioprocessing, or protein purification
• Basic laboratory skills and documentation practices
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn and work in a research-driven environment
• Ability to work effectively in team-based settings
