About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, patient-centred telehealth consultations for low-acuity presentations
• Manage general health concerns, prescriptions/repeats, medical certificates, and lifestyle health consults
• Supervise allied health professionals as required within telehealth care pathways
• Work within defined clinical scope and follow governance-led escalation protocols
• Document consultations accurately in a secure digital platform
• Escalate complex or out-of-scope cases to senior clinicians/Senior Medical Advisors when required
• Support safe triage and AHPRA-aligned, responsible prescribing practices
Qualification
• General Registration with AHPRA
Experience
• PGY3+ (or demonstrated competence)
• Experience in general practice, urgent care, emergency department, or hospital medicine
• Obesity management and/or men’s health experience is highly regarded
Skills
• Strong clinical judgement and communication skills for virtual care
• Ability to work independently with remote senior support
• Confidence using digital systems for documentation and telehealth workflows
• Risk-aware approach with adherence to clinical governance and escalation systems
• Suitable telehealth setup (smartphone and laptop)
