Surgical Dental Nurse

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide chairside assistance during dental implant placement and bone grafting procedures, including complex GBR with mesh placement.
• Assist across a full range of general dental treatments, including restorative, preventative, cosmetic, and full mouth rehabilitation.
• Prepare, maintain, and ensure sterile surgical environments, following strict infection control protocols.
• Monitor patients during procedures and post-operatively to ensure safety and comfort.
• Manage stock control and ordering of surgical materials as required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of implant kits and surgical workflows, including Straumann, Neodent, and Southern Implants systems.
• Collaborate effectively with dentists and other clinical staff to provide high-quality patient care.
• Maintain high attention to detail with minimal margin for error.

Qualification:
• Certificate III in Dental Nursing, OR minimum 4–5 years of local Australian experience in a dental surgical setting.
• Proven experience assisting with dental implants and surgical procedures (minimum 1–2 years).

Experience:
• Confident assisting across general dentistry, from simple procedures to complex dental treatments.
• Knowledge of sterile protocols and surgical setups.

Skills:
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain strict clinical and infection control standards.
• Professional, reliable, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
• Experience with Straumann and Neodent implant systems, and knowledge of guided surgery workflows is desirable.
