Staff Physician - Obesity Medicine

Role & Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients within the Digestive Disease – Obesity Medicine specialty
• Diagnose, prevent, and treat obesity-related and associated medical conditions
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and specialized medical care
• Review and analyze medical records, reports, and diagnostic test results
• Obtain detailed patient history and perform clinical evaluations
• Explain procedures, test results, and treatment plans clearly to patients
• Perform specific treatments and procedures within approved clinical privileges
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Coordinate care and referrals with multidisciplinary medical and non-medical teams
• Deliver culturally sensitive and patient-centred care
• Adhere to ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and medical staff policies
• Participate in administrative, committee, and performance improvement activities

Qualification
• MD / MBBS / MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Completion of Internal Medicine qualification as per recognized specialty certification requirements

Experience
• Tier 1 countries: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
• Tier 2 countries: Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
• Valid medical license/registration in home country or last country of employment

Skills
• Strong clinical expertise in obesity and metabolic medicine
• Excellent diagnostic and patient management skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• English proficiency required
• Arabic language skills preferred
