Sports Physiotherapist

Roles & Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose, and manage sports-related injuries
• Perform detailed clinical and functional assessments for athletes
• Design evidence-based rehabilitation and return-to-sport programs
• Treat recreational, competitive, and elite athletes
• Apply advanced physiotherapy techniques including manual therapy and dry needling
• Integrate strength and conditioning principles into rehabilitation programs
• Focus on injury prevention, performance optimization, and recovery
• Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate athletes on posture, biomechanics, and movement efficiency
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment protocols as required
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records
• Stay updated with latest research and sports medicine practices

Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Sports Physiotherapy (MPT / MS) – mandatory
• Degree from a Grade 1 educational institute – required
• Recognised physiotherapy qualification in India

Experience
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience – required
• Experience treating sports injuries – required
• Experience with elite or professional athletes – preferred

Skills
• Strong sports physiotherapy expertise
• Strength and conditioning knowledge or certification
• Manual therapy skills
• Dry needling proficiency
• Injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques
