About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic tests to assess patients' dental conditions.
• Review patient records, including dental histories, plaster models, and X-rays, to create customized treatment plans.
• Discuss treatment plans and cost estimates with patients.
• Treat occlusion issues and other oral conditions.
• Instruct dental assistants on orthodontic procedures and techniques.
• Collaborate with dentists and oral surgeons to integrate orthodontic services into the overall treatment plan.
• Fit patients with various orthodontic appliances.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to adjust orthodontic appliances and monitor progress.
• Educate patients on ongoing orthodontic care and proper oral hygiene practices.
• Provide referrals to other professionals, such as oral surgeons, when necessary.
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
• Further studies in orthodontics accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA).
• Member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).
Experience
• Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in orthodontics.
