Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecology

Role & Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive prenatal care including regular antenatal check-ups, screening tests, and risk assessments
• Manage labour and delivery processes, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and newborn
• Diagnose and manage common and high-risk obstetric and gynaecological conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for complex maternal and reproductive health cases
• Educate patients on family planning, reproductive health, contraception, and preventive women’s health care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to clinic and regulatory standards
• Stay updated with advancements in obstetrics and gynaecology to implement best clinical practices

Qualification
• Doctor of Surgery (MS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology or equivalent postgraduate qualification
• OSMB Exam completed or willingness to appear for the exam immediately is mandatory
• Eligibility for specialist registration in Oman

Experience
• 4–9 years of relevant clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology
• Experience in antenatal care, labour management, and outpatient gynaecology practice
• Prior clinic-based experience is preferred

Skills
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills in obstetrics and gynaecology
• Excellent patient counselling and communication abilities
• Ability to manage emergencies and routine cases independently
• Team-oriented approach with strong coordination skills
