About the Role

Role & Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality clinical care within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Royal North Shore Hospital
• Rotate through four ICU units including general, neurosurgical and cardiothoracic intensive care units
• Participate in a 24/7 roster including day and night shifts across a seven-day schedule
• Manage complex medical, surgical, trauma, burns and spinal injury patients under supervision
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Contribute to research activities within the ICU and complete a research project during the appointment
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety and risk management initiatives

Qualification
• Medical degree recognised in Australia
• Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Compliance with NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination requirements
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by Service NSW

Experience
• Experience commensurate with Senior Resident Medical Officer level
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Intensive Care Medicine
• Experience working in supervised clinical environments
• Participation in continuing professional development activities
