Senior Resident Medical Officer

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide first-line medical care to patients presenting to the Hospital, including assessment, investigation, treatment, and referral for ongoing non-inpatient care or, on consultation with consultant specialists, admission/transfer for inpatient care and discharge of patients
• Work independently in a supervised environment
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team
• Demonstrate good organisational and time management skills, managing competing priorities in a complex environment
• Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management
• Commit to self-education and continuing professional development

Qualification
• MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia

Experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a supervised environment
• Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Adept written and verbal communication skills
• Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self-education
