Role & Responsibilities
• Provide clinical care and treatment to adult medical patients across General Medicine, MAPU, and ambulatory care services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary assessment and management of acutely ill patients with short-stay admissions (48–72 hours).
• Support ward rounds, admissions, discharges, and ongoing patient management.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, registrars, nursing, and allied health teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and standards.
• Participate in after-hours and rostered duties as required.
Qualifications
• MBBS (or equivalent) eligible for medical registration in Australia.
• Unaccredited medical officer with interest in pursuing a career in General Medicine.
Experience
• Prior hospital experience in adult internal medicine preferred.
• Exposure to acute medical care, MAPU, or ambulatory services desirable.
Skills
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced tertiary hospital environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
