Senior Pharmacist

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide clinical pharmacy services across a range of hospital wards and services
• Review medication charts and ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based therapy
• Deliver practical medication advice to clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Identify and resolve complex medication-related issues
• Document clinical interventions and contribute to patient safety initiatives
• Participate in quality improvement, audit, and research activities
• Support the development and enhancement of pharmacy services
• Mentor pharmacists, interns, and pharmacy students
• Assist with service planning and workforce development
• Contribute to education and training programs within the department
• Promote safe, consistent, and patient-centred medication practices

Qualification
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
• Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications (desirable)

Experience
• Demonstrated experience in hospital clinical pharmacy practice
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff or students
• Participation in quality improvement or research activities (desirable)
