About the Role
Roles and Responsibilities
• Deliver high-level, specialist, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services across acute medical, surgical, orthopaedic, stroke and rehabilitation wards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop intervention plans and support discharge planning within inpatient settings.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to Occupational Therapy team members.
• Build effective partnerships across inpatient services within Metro North Health.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards with minimal direct supervision.
• Contribute to culturally safe and responsive healthcare practices, supporting health equity initiatives.
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
• Current registration with AHPRA.
Experience
• Demonstrated senior-level clinical experience in acute or inpatient hospital settings.
• Experience across medical, surgical, orthopaedic, stroke and rehabilitation services.
• Experience in mentoring or leading Occupational Therapy staff.
