Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
About the Role
Roles and responsibilities:
• Apply a high level of clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice in Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedics, and Rheumatology physiotherapy
• Deliver advanced physiotherapy services in line with professional and organizational standards
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized physiotherapy treatment programs for patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Contribute to clinical governance and service development within the National Ambulance Service
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HSE protocols
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior physiotherapy staff as required
• Stay updated with current evidence-based practice and integrate new techniques into patient care
Qualification:
• Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT or equivalent)
• Postgraduate or advanced certification in Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedics, or Rheumatology physiotherapy is desirable
• Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body
Experience:
• Significant clinical experience in musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, or rheumatology physiotherapy
• Experience in a senior or leadership physiotherapy role is preferred
• Experience in multidisciplinary healthcare settings
Skills:
• Advanced clinical assessment and physiotherapy intervention skills
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
• Ability to develop and implement evidence-based physiotherapy programs
• Competence in mentoring and supporting junior staff
