Senior Medical Officers

Role & Responsibilities
• Provide emergency medical care for non-life-threatening presentations within Urgent Care Centres
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred clinical care in a rapidly growing community corridor
• Work collaboratively with doctors and Nurse Practitioners with advanced emergency skills
• Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of urgent medical conditions
• Support safe, efficient and timely patient flow within the Urgent Care setting
• Contribute to continuous improvement and excellence in urgent care services

Qualification
• Medical degree recognised in Australia
• Current registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia
• Evidence of vaccination history as per health service requirements
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check

Experience
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a Registrar or Senior Hospital Medical Officer role OR
• Minimum five (5) years’ post-graduate experience with at least two (2) years within an Australian hospital system
• Demonstrated experience managing complex and competing stakeholder needs
• Experience working within Australian clinical care models and clinical information systems

• Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and care delivery systems
