Senior Medical Officer - GP

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide quality medical services to local communities in Charleville, Queensland, and surrounding areas.
• Contribute to the improvement of health and wellbeing within the South West Hospital and Health Service.
• Work collaboratively with a dynamic rural healthcare team to deliver culturally appropriate medical services.
• Manage a wide scope of practice, including emergency, outpatient, and inpatient care.
• Provide leadership and support to other healthcare professionals and contribute to the overall development of rural health.
• Be involved in community health programs and initiatives to enhance the quality of care in the region.

Qualification
• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
• Rural Generalist qualification (or willingness to undertake further training).
• Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM is highly desirable.

Experience
• Previous experience working in rural or remote healthcare settings is preferred.
• Experience in a leadership or senior medical officer role is advantageous.
