Senior Medical Officer - General Practitioner or Rural Generalist

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, culturally appropriate medical services to the local community in Charleville
• Work as a key member of a dynamic rural healthcare team, delivering comprehensive healthcare services
• Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide variety of medical conditions in rural and remote settings
• Ensure continuity of care for patients through community outreach and engagement
• Lead and support healthcare initiatives aimed at improving health and wellbeing in the local population
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and organizations to improve community health
• Participate in health service planning and development initiatives
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, including medical students and residents
• Actively engage in professional development and training opportunities

Qualification

• Medical degree with full registration as a General Practitioner or Rural Generalist
• Advanced qualifications in rural health or related fields are desirable

Experience

• Minimum of several years' experience as a General Practitioner or Rural Generalist
• Experience in rural and remote healthcare settings is preferred
