Job Description
The Senior Manager – Retail Pharmacy will oversee the strategic development and operational management of retail pharmacy front-shop services. The role involves leading the planning, execution, and optimization of retail operations across pharmacy stores while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and merchandising standards. This position requires strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, and experience in retail pharmacy or FMCG environments. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple departments including procurement, marketing, supply chain, and technology teams to ensure seamless integration of retail initiatives and maximize business performance.

Responsibilities

Retail Strategy and Execution
• Manage the full project lifecycle including planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of retail pharmacy front-shop models
• Establish and monitor store-level and network-wide targets such as sales, profit margins, and customer basket size
• Implement standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with planogram and visual merchandising standards

Product Portfolio and Category Management
• Develop and manage front-shop product categories including OTC medicines, health products, baby care, beauty products, nutrition, and personal care items
• Conduct regular product portfolio reviews to optimize stock-keeping units (SKU), pricing strategies, and product assortment
• Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing, promotional support, and rebate agreements

Sales Performance and Promotions
• Lead monthly and quarterly promotional campaigns including seasonal offers, bundle promotions, and loyalty programs
• Analyze sales data and market trends to evaluate campaign performance and adjust strategies
• Benchmark performance against competitors and industry standards

Store Operations and Merchandising
• Standardize pharmacy store layouts and conduct compliance audits for retail merchandising
• Monitor inventory performance including stock levels, turnover rates, and management of slow-moving inventory
• Train pharmacists, promoters, and store staff on product knowledge, customer engagement, and sales techniques

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with procurement, supply chain, finance, and marketing teams to align retail strategies
• Support integration of pharmacy retail services with home delivery and online sales channels
• Collaborate with technology teams to enhance digital retail platforms and e-commerce solutions

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
• MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred

Professional Licensing:
• UAE pharmacy license (DHA, MOH, or HAAD) preferred

Experience:
• 7–10 years of experience in retail pharmacy or FMCG sectors
• At least 3 years of experience in retail leadership, project management, or operations management
• Experience managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities is highly preferred
• Proven track record in store-level performance improvement or retail network transformation

Skills and Competencies:
• Strong commercial and analytical thinking with data-driven decision-making abilities
