Senior House Officer - Emergency Medicine
About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day medical services to patients presenting to the hospital's Emergency Department.
• Conduct patient interviews, examinations, and assessments.
• Select, arrange, and follow up appropriate investigations.
• Assemble clinical information and results from available sources.
• Document clinical care and patient progress.
• Support Registrars and senior medical staff in the work unit.
• Actively contribute to the health equity agenda by supporting the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Qualification
• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Full and unrestricted registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
Experience
• No minimum experience required, though prior experience in emergency medicine or a clinical setting is an advantage.
• A passion for professional development and the potential to proceed to specialist training.
