Resident Medical Officer - Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Roles & Responsibilities
• Assess, examine and arrange appropriate investigations for obstetric and gynaecology patients
• Initiate, review and monitor treatment and discharge plans under supervision
• Participate in emergency care, procedures and operating theatre lists
• Work across Birthing Suites, Maternity Assessment Centre, Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and outpatient clinics
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure effective clinical handover
• Participate in education sessions, audits, research and continuous improvement activities
• Supervise and support junior medical staff and students where required

Qualification
• Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia

Experience
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or strong interest in Women’s Health

• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
• Effective communication and ability to build rapport with patients and carers
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and NSQHS Standards
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure clinical environments
• Strong teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
• Dedication to ongoing professional development and learning
