About the Role
Role & Responsibilities
• Provide routine inpatient care and manage after-hours admissions
• Support specialists and the clinical nursing team in patient management
• Conduct clinical assessments for newly admitted patients and patients with changed clinical conditions
• Deliver person-centred care aligned with hospital values and standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary care and ensure continuity of patient care
• Work across shifts including AM, PM, nights, and weekends as required
Qualification
• Current and full unrestricted general registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA
• Advanced Life Support Training
• Full Australian Working Rights
Experience
• Minimum 3 years post-graduate clinical experience (PGY3 and above)
• Recent acute care experience with confidence in managing complex patients
• Experience in Critical Care Unit (highly desirable)
• Understanding of National Safety and Quality in Health Care Standards
• Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety Act and infection control procedures
