Job Description
This contract Registrar position involves managing inpatient general medical cases under consultant direction while actively participating in teaching, supervision, and clinical governance activities. The role supports team-based care delivery and requires close collaboration with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and specialty clinicians. Registrars will participate in emergency response calls, after-hours rosters, documentation oversight, investigation coordination, and multidisciplinary care planning. Fixed-term contracts of 6, 12, or 24 months are available commencing August 2026 or February 2027.

Responsibilities
• Manage patient care under consultant supervision
• Supervise and teach junior medical staff
• Conduct daily documentation of patient progress and care plans
• Arrange and interpret investigation results including pathology and radiology
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care planning
• Participate in emergency MER calls and CPR
• Contribute to peer review and quality improvement programs

Required Qualifications
• Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience
• Demonstrated interest in physician training
• Clinical and procedural skills appropriate to Registrar level
