About the Role
Role & Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality clinical nursing care to residents in a residential aged care setting
• Undertake comprehensive care planning, clinical assessments, and ongoing reviews
• Ensure care delivery aligns with evidence-based practice and scope of nursing practice
• Promote resident independence, dignity, comfort, and wellbeing
• Support residents’ social, mental, and physical health needs
• Maintain a strong customer service focus across all clinical interactions
• Provide leadership, supervision, and coaching to Support Worker staff
• Manage clinical priorities, challenging behaviours, and dementia-related care needs
• Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Act and Aged Care Quality Standards
Qualification
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Relevant certifications aligned with aged care practice
Experience
• Demonstrated experience in residential aged care nursing
• Experience managing residents with complex care needs and dementia
• Experience providing clinical leadership and staff supervision
• Exposure to shift-based work including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends
Skills
• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
• Sound knowledge of aged care legislation and quality standards
• Leadership, supervision, and conflict resolution abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism
• Commitment to continuous improvement and quality care delivery
