About the Role
Role & Responsibilities
• Conduct infection risk assessments across clinical areas and identify vulnerabilities
• Develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention and control protocols
• Ensure compliance with national and international IPC guidelines
• Investigate healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) including outbreak management
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans
• Provide consultation and training to healthcare staff on IPC practices
• Promote hand hygiene, PPE compliance, and patient safety initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation and IPC reports
Qualification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current Registered Nurse licensure
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) or eligibility to obtain
Experience
• 2 to 4 years of nursing experience
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience preferred
• Experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred
Skills
• Infection prevention and control expertise
• Risk assessment and outbreak management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Staff education and training
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
