Job Description
This permanent full-time role involves releasing finished products, managing quality documentation, evaluating non-conformances, supporting clinical trials, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Structured training is provided to build skills in Quality and Oncology, making this role suitable for both fresh graduates and experienced pharmacists looking to diversify their careers.
Key Features Of The Role
• Release finished products including oncology, antibiotics, and LAF
• Ensure compounded products meet product specifications and documentation requirements
• Adhere to all quality management systems and procedures
• Participate in the preparation, revision, and approval of Quality Documents
• Manage first-time receipt of stock and approvals for the Auckland site
• Evaluate and escalate non-conformances to quality management
• Report and document incidents, deviations, and complaints in the QMS
• Support involvement in clinical trials
• Undertake other Quality-related tasks as required
Responsibilities
• Ensure safe, high-quality release of compounded medications
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Medsafe regulations
• Collaborate with the Operations team to improve processes and quality outcomes
• Communicate effectively with internal and external health professionals
• Manage workload independently while adhering to protocols
• Contribute to training, mentoring, and development of junior staff where required
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Pharmacy
• Current registration as a Pharmacist in New Zealand
Experience And Skills
• Hospital or oncology experience not required as full training will be provided
• Team-oriented with a focus on patient care and service excellence
• High attention to detail and strong clinical skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Effective communication and ability to liaise with a wide range of healthcare professionals
Work Schedule
• Full-time, 80 hours per fortnight
• Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts, rostered between 6:00am and 7:00pm
