Job Description

Central University of Punjab is inviting applications for a Project Position in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The selected candidate will support ongoing research activities including compound synthesis, in silico drug design, and biological studies. The role involves laboratory research, documentation of experimental results, and preparation of scientific manuscripts and reports. The position is project-based and subject to the availability of funds in the project head.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research related to synthesis of medicinally potent compounds.
• Assist in designing novel compounds using computational and in silico approaches.
• Perform biological experiments such as cell culture studies and enzymatic assays.
• Conduct laboratory experiments including western blotting, MTT assays, and biochemical analyses.
• Assist in animal handling and execution of animal study protocols for research models.
• Maintain proper laboratory documentation and research records.
• Support preparation of research manuscripts and patent drafts.
• Collaborate with research team members and contribute to project progress.

Required Qualifications

• First or Second Class M.Pharm or M.S. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• OR Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• At least one research publication in a SCI-indexed journal.
• Minimum one year of research experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in synthesis of medicinally active compounds.
• Knowledge of computational drug design and in silico modeling techniques.
• Experience in biological laboratory techniques such as cell culture and biochemical assays.
