Job Description
UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join its Blue Care Community Allied Health team. This role focuses on providing community-based physiotherapy services to aged care clients across Brisbane South and Bayside areas.
The physiotherapist will deliver in-home assessments, develop treatment programs, conduct individual and group therapy sessions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure effective care planning and rehabilitation outcomes.

Responsibilities
• Conduct in-home physiotherapy assessments and treatments for aged care clients
• Develop customized rehabilitation programs focusing on mobility, balance, and pain management
• Deliver individual therapy sessions and facilitate group interventions
• Prescribe and recommend appropriate adaptive aids and rehabilitation equipment
• Educate clients and caregivers on therapy techniques, movement, and safe handling practices
• Support goal-setting activities and assist with discharge planning
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as nurses, general practitioners, and therapists to update patient care plans
• Maintain accurate clinical records and monitor patient progress
Required Qualification
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution
• Current professional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
Important Requirements
• Previous experience in aged care, community health, or rehabilitation settings is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Effective time management and clinical problem-solving skills
• Valid Australian Driver’s License
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance (kilometre reimbursement provided)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

Salary Insights
• Hourly Pay: AUD $42.15 – $59.04 per hour (depending on experience)
