Physiotherapist

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for inpatients and outpatients
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Provide physiotherapy care for orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, post-operative, trauma, geriatric, and musculoskeletal conditions
• Deliver ICU-based physiotherapy including chest physiotherapy, airway clearance, early mobilization, positioning, and breathing exercises
• Conduct inpatient bedside therapy and outpatient rehabilitation sessions
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, posture correction, mobility, and injury prevention
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient files and EMR as per NABH standards
• Follow patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols
• Operate and maintain physiotherapy equipment and report malfunctions
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals for holistic care
• Participate in clinical audits, ward rounds, case discussions, and discharge planning
• Support training and mentoring of junior staff, interns, and students
• Engage in continuous professional development and training programs

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT / MPT) from a recognized institution

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 2–3 years of hospital-based physiotherapy experience
• Experience across multiple specialties including orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and post-operative rehabilitation preferred

SKILLS:
• Strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills
• Ability to manage inpatient, outpatient, and ICU patients
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities
• Familiarity with EMR systems and basic computer skills
• Empathy, professionalism, and patient-centred approach
• Ability to work rotational shifts and weekends as required
