Pharmacy Technician

Roles & Responsibilities
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately as per prescriptions
• Prepare, label, and store medicines following hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Support inventory management, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and expiry monitoring
• Maintain pharmacy records, logs, and documentation
• Ensure proper storage conditions including cold-chain compliance
• Handle medications safely and maintain cleanliness of the pharmacy area
• Coordinate with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff for timely medication supply
• Support audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities
• Follow hospital policies, patient safety standards, and confidentiality requirements

Qualification
• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technician course
• Valid Pharmacy Technician license as per Qatar regulatory requirements

Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy setup
• GCC healthcare experience preferred

Skills
• Good knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication handling
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Basic computer skills for pharmacy systems
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
