Pharmacy Assistant
About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Deliver exceptional customer service and efficiently process sales at the pharmacy counter
• Provide non-therapeutic advice and assist customers with product selection
• Support pharmacists and team members in delivering pharmacy services
• Manage stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control
• Operate EFTPOS and POS systems with accurate cash handling
• Maintain a clean, organised, and customer-friendly store environment
• Build positive customer relationships and manage expectations professionally
Qualification
• No mandatory qualification required
• S2/S3 certification (advantageous but not required)
Experience
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Pharmacy experience not required – full training provided
Skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Confidence in handling EFTPOS, POS systems, and cash transactions
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
• Basic understanding of pharmacy products (advantageous)
• Good organisational and merchandising skills
