Job Description
Apollo Pharmacy is hiring Pharmacists and Senior Pharmacists for its pharmacy outlets in Ahmednagar. The role focuses on prescription dispensing, patient counselling, pharmacy inventory management, and ensuring medicines are stored and handled according to pharmaceutical standards. Selected candidates will work closely with customers, doctors, and pharmacy teams to ensure smooth pharmacy operations while delivering high-quality service to patients. The role also includes managing pharmacy sales, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Responsibilities
Prescription Filling
• Attend to doctor prescriptions at the pharmacy counter and guide patients regarding dosage instructions
• Dispense medicines as per prescriptions issued by doctors
• Arrange medicines from in-house pharmacies if prescribed medicines are unavailable
• Consult doctors before substituting prescribed medicines when required
• Cross-check issued medicines with billing details including patient name, medicine name, quantity, and expiry date
Customer Service
• Counsel patients and customers on medication usage and possible reactions
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and doctors
• Maintain records for free home delivery services and ensure timely delivery of medicines
• Handle inbound calls related to drug information, patient counselling, and home delivery orders
• Respond to patient queries regarding drug therapy and medication information
• Assist with billing counter operations when required
Cold Chain Management
• Store medicines requiring refrigeration under proper temperature and security conditions
Inventory Management and Sales
• Enter stock details into the pharmacy system and cross-check with store records
• Maintain records for out-of-stock medicines and follow up for replenishment
• Conduct physical stock verification according to medicine categories twice a week
• Perform daily rack-wise verification of fast-moving medicines
• Ensure proper shift handover before leaving the pharmacy work area
• Work toward achieving pharmacy sales targets
• Verify quantity, MRP, batch number, and expiry date of received medicines
• Maintain billing records and related documentation
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the pharmacy in-charge when required
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
• Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
• Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)
Candidates must have valid registration with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
Experience and Skills:
• Freshers are eligible to apply
• Candidates with pharmacy retail experience up to supervisor level may be preferred
• Updated knowledge of commercial pharmaceutical drugs
• Strong prescription handling capabilities
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Customer service orientation and patient counselling skills
