Job Description
Apollo Pharmacy is recruiting Pharmacists and Senior Pharmacists for its pharmacy outlets in Ahmedabad. The position involves managing prescription dispensing, providing medication counselling, maintaining pharmacy inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational guidelines.
Selected candidates will work closely with customers and healthcare professionals while supporting daily pharmacy operations. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of commercial drugs, and strong communication skills to ensure effective patient care and pharmacy service delivery.

Responsibilities

Prescription Filling
• Attend to doctor prescriptions at the pharmacy counter and guide patients regarding dosage instructions
• Dispense medicines according to prescriptions issued by doctors
• Arrange medicines from in-house pharmacies if prescribed medicines are unavailable
• Consult doctors before substituting medicines when necessary
• Cross-check medicines issued with billing details including patient name, medicine name, quantity, and expiry date

Customer Service
• Provide counselling to patients regarding medication usage and possible reactions
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and doctors
• Maintain records of free home delivery orders and ensure timely delivery
• Handle inbound calls related to drug information, patient counselling, and delivery services
• Address patient queries regarding drug therapy and medication information
• Assist in billing counter operations when required

Cold Chain Management
• Store temperature-sensitive medicines under proper refrigeration and secure conditions

Inventory Management and Sales
• Enter stock information into the system and cross-check with store records
• Maintain records of out-of-stock medicines and follow up for replenishment
• Ensure physical stock verification according to product categories twice weekly
• Conduct daily rack-wise verification of fast-moving medicines
• Verify quantity, MRP, batch number, and expiry date of received medicines
• Ensure proper shift handover between staff members
• Work toward achieving pharmacy sales targets
• Manage billing records and documentation
• Perform additional duties assigned by the pharmacy in-charge when required

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements:
• Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
• Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

Candidates must have valid registration with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

Experience and Skills:
• Freshers can apply
• Candidates with pharmacy retail experience up to supervisor level may be preferred
• Updated knowledge of commercial pharmaceutical drugs
• Strong prescription handling skills
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities
• Customer service and patient counselling skills
• Basic understanding of retail pharmacy operations
