Job Description
The Community Pharmacist will join the professional pharmacy team at West Gosford Pharmacy, delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services and ensuring safe dispensing practices. The role involves working closely with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff to support medication management and provide healthcare advice. The pharmacist will also participate in clinical services such as vaccinations, medication reviews, and specialized medication programs while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and professional standards.

Responsibilities
• Dispense and check prescriptions accurately in accordance with pharmacy regulations and PBS requirements
• Provide professional counselling to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Conduct MedsChecks and support medication management services for patients
• Administer vaccinations and participate in preventative healthcare services
• Review and check Webster packs for nursing home patients and aged care services
• Support opioid replacement therapy programs where required
• Provide advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records while ensuring patient confidentiality
• Collaborate with pharmacy team members to maintain efficient pharmacy operations

Required Qualifications
• Current general registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
• Eligibility to practice pharmacy in Australia

Experience and Skills:
• Experience in community pharmacy practice is beneficial but not mandatory
• Strong patient counselling and communication skills
• Knowledge of medication management and pharmaceutical care
