Job Description
The Pharmacist Manager will oversee the daily operations of a community pharmacy in the Whitsundays region while ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services. Working as the sole pharmacist, the successful candidate will manage dispensing activities, supervise pharmacy staff, and maintain compliance with professional and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
• Manage dispensary operations while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and professional standards
• Dispense and review prescriptions accurately in accordance with pharmacy and PBS guidelines
• Build strong relationships with patients, local doctors, and allied healthcare professionals
• Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain efficient workflow

Required Qualifications
• Registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or higher qualification

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
• Eligibility to practice as a pharmacist in Australia

Experience and Skills:
• Strong experience in community pharmacy operations and dispensing management
• Leadership experience or the ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and healthcare collaboration
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical and operational decisions
• Experience with pharmacy software systems such as Z Dispense
• Knowledge or interest in medicinal cannabis dispensing is beneficial but not essential
