Job Description
The Hans Foundation is hiring Pharmacists for its Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) project in Assam. The selected candidates will work in Golaghat and Kokrajhar districts, supporting rural healthcare delivery through mobile OPD services. The pharmacist will execute physician prescriptions, manage pharmacy operations within the MMU, maintain records, and assist in medical camps and emergencies.

Responsibilities
• Organize and manage pharmacy operations efficiently within the MMU
• Maintain stock control, labeling, and storage of medicines
• Monitor expiry and prevent product deterioration
• Review and execute physician prescriptions ensuring legality and accuracy
• Provide patient counseling and medication guidance
• Assist in basic medical services (BP, temperature monitoring, injections, etc.)
• Maintain patient records and documentation of heavy medications
• Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and regulations
• Liaise with healthcare personnel and medical officers for coordinated care
• Assist during mobile OPD services, health camps, and emergencies
• Perform additional duties assigned by the coordinating office

Required Qualifications
• Registered Pharmacist with valid Pharmacy Council registration
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical dispensing practices and legal compliance

Educational Requirements
• D.Pharm or B.Pharm from a recognized college/university

Experience and Skills
• 1–3 years of experience in clinic/field healthcare settings
• Strong understanding of rural healthcare service delivery
• Proficiency in Hindi and local dialect (preferred)
• Community mobilization and communication skills
• Ability to work in remote and mobile healthcare environments
• Good record-keeping and documentation practices
