• Deliver high-quality, safe, and patient-centred medication management services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide comprehensive pharmacy services including dispensing, clinical review, production, and patient counselling.
• Undertake timely medication histories, daily medication reviews, and develop medication action plans to optimise therapy.
• Exercise professional judgement and relative autonomy in dispensing and clinical decision-making in line with SA Health guidelines and legislation.
• Provide expert medication advice and support to medical, nursing, and allied health professionals.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and assistants in daily pharmacy operations.
• Respond to medication-related enquiries, prepare reports, and contribute to quality improvement, education, and research initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, State and Federal legislation, and clinical governance requirements.
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
• Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy practice is preferred.
• Ability to work with relative autonomy while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice, dispensing, production, and patient counselling.
• Sound understanding of pharmacy legislation and hospital medication safety standards.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and patient safety.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating flexibility, resilience, and initiative.
