Job Description
A welcoming community pharmacy located on an island just one hour by ferry from Brisbane is seeking a part-time Pharmacist to join the team for three days per week, with flexibility to move into full-time hours if preferred. The successful candidate will work alongside another experienced Pharmacist in a supportive environment. While there are no Dispensary Technicians currently on site, the pharmacy is preparing to implement robotic dispensing technology to improve efficiency and workflow. Three friendly retail staff members assist in daily operations, enabling the Pharmacist to focus on professional services and patient care.

Responsibilities
• Provide professional pharmacy services and medication counselling
• Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of prescriptions
• Deliver specialised services including Opioid Replacement Therapy (ORT)
• Manage medicinal cannabis dispensing in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare and oversee webster pack medication systems
• Maintain compliance with AHPRA standards and pharmacy legislation
• Work independently in the dispensary without technician support
• Contribute to workflow improvements with the integration of robotic dispensing
• Build strong relationships within the local island community
• Support a collaborative and positive team culture

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent qualification)
• Current AHPRA General Registration
• Valid Australian working rights

Experience and Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient-focused and community-oriented approach
• Ability to work confidently without a Dispensary Technician
• Experience with Fred NXT dispensing software (advantageous)
• Interest or experience in ORT and medicinal cannabis services
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Adaptability and professional independence
