Pharmacist

Roles & Responsibilities
• Dispense prescriptions accurately in accordance with legal and professional standards
• Provide professional pharmaceutical advice and patient counselling
• Monitor medication usage and identify potential drug interactions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records
• Deliver evidence-based healthcare advice and minor ailment services
• Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Board regulations and relevant legislation
• Assist in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and SOPs
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and assistants
• Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management
• Maintain controlled drug registers and regulatory documentation
• Promote health awareness and community healthcare initiatives
• Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training
• Maintain high standards of customer service and patient confidentiality

Qualification
• Bachelor of Pharmacy, Master of Pharmacy
• Registered Pharmacist with current registration under the Pharmacy Board of Australia

Experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Pharmacist in community or hospital setting
• Experience in patient counselling and medication management
