About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide general healthcare advice and dispense prescription and non-prescription medicines and non-pharma products
• Supervise retail store operations to ensure sales targets, customer satisfaction, and operational readiness are met
• Ensure store readiness by monitoring staff appearance, uniforms, name tags, storage conditions, and temperature controls
• Perform duties in line with standard operating procedures and internal guidelines
• Process prescriptions by reviewing physician orders and counselling customers on dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions
• Educate customers on correct usage of home medical equipment such as glucose meters
• Supervise, coach, and develop store staff through performance monitoring, KPI tracking, and regular feedback
• Monitor store-level sales performance and customer satisfaction through observation and reporting
• Handle payments, cash reconciliation, and coordination with finance to ensure compliance with financial processes
• Identify and execute upselling and cross-selling opportunities based on customer needs
• Manage inventory, stock ordering and returns, price updates, promotions, staff scheduling, attendance, and store administration
Health & Safety
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, safety guidelines, and local regulatory requirements
• Dispense OTC medications for common illnesses and provide appropriate health advice or physician referral when needed
Pharmacological Knowledge
• Maintain updated pharmacological knowledge through training programs, workshops, professional publications, and industry networks
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Valid pharmacist license as per local regulatory requirements
Experience
• Experience in retail or community pharmacy operations preferred
• Prior experience in store supervision or team handling is an advantage
Skills
• Strong knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, and patient counselling
• Good understanding of pharmacy operations and SOPs
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to manage teams, sales targets, and store operations
• Attention to detail and compliance-focused mindset
