About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Dispense medicines accurately as per doctor’s prescriptions and hospital protocols
• Verify prescriptions for correct dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications
• Maintain proper storage, handling, and labeling of medicines as per Drugs & Cosmetics Act
• Manage inventory, stock registers, and indenting of medicines
• Follow FIFO/FEFO practices to minimize expiry and wastage
• Maintain records for narcotic, psychotropic, and controlled drugs
• Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and precautions
• Support audits, inspections, and compliance activities
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and hospital staff for smooth pharmacy operations
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and discipline in the pharmacy area
Qualification
• B.Pharm / D.Pharm from a recognized institution
• Registration with Delhi State Pharmacy Council (mandatory)
Experience
• Freshers or candidates with relevant hospital/retail pharmacy experience may apply
• Experience in government or institutional pharmacy will be an added advantage
Skills
• Strong knowledge of medicines and pharmacy regulations
• Good record-keeping and documentation skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing
• Basic computer knowledge for billing and stock management
• Good communication and patient-handling skills
