Job Description
Frankston Discount Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Pharmacist to join its friendly and high-performing team. This hands-on role involves accurate dispensing, patient counselling, supervision of dispensary staff, and collaboration with the front-of-shop team to ensure smooth daily operations.
You will be responsible for delivering safe and efficient pharmacy services, including prescription dispensing (including eScripts), professional healthcare services, and support for aged care and nursing home patients. Responsibilities
• Accurately and efficiently dispense prescriptions, including eScripts
• Provide medication counselling and clinical advice
• Recommend OTC products and support minor ailment management
• Deliver professional services such as vaccinations and MedsChecks (where accredited)
• Supervise and guide dispensary technicians and pharmacy assistants
• Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards
• Ensure accurate documentation and quality use of medicines practices
• Support nursing home patients and manage sachet/Webster packing
• Collaborate with prescribers and local healthcare providers
• Maintain excellent customer service and patient rapport
Required Qualifications
• Current AHPRA registration as a General Pharmacist
• Eligibility to work in Australia
• Community pharmacy experience
• Strong dispensing accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team
Educational Requirements
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) compliance
