Job Description
The Full-Time Pharmacist is responsible for managing dispensing operations, providing patient counseling, and supporting professional pharmacy services. The role involves working closely with pharmacists, technicians, and support staff to maintain efficient workflow and deliver excellent customer experiences. The pharmacist will also contribute to aged care services, including nursing home support and medication packing, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
• Dispense prescriptions accurately, including eScripts, in compliance with regulations
• Provide medication counseling and clinical advice to patients
• Recommend OTC products and support minor ailment management
• Deliver professional services such as vaccinations and MedsChecks
• Supervise and guide dispensary staff and pharmacy assistants
• Maintain smooth workflow within the dispensary
• Ensure compliance with legal, professional, and quality standards
• Build strong relationships with patients, prescribers, and healthcare providers
• Support nursing home services and sachet/Webster packing
• Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records

Required Qualifications
• Current registration as a Pharmacist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
• Strong dispensing accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
• Must meet AHPRA registration standards

Experience and Skills:
• Experience in community pharmacy required
• Familiarity with dispensing and POS systems (e.g., BestMed)
• Experience in aged care or nursing home services preferred
• Knowledge of Webster packing and medication management
• Vaccination accreditation preferred or willingness to obtain
• Experience with cannabis medications is an advantage
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy staff
