About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Dispense prescription and OTC medicines accurately as per physician orders
• Review prescriptions for dosage accuracy, interactions, and contraindications
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and MOH regulations
• Maintain prescription records and pharmacy documentation
• Manage inventory, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and expiry control
• Ensure proper storage conditions including cold-chain compliance
• Handle controlled drugs as per regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and clinical teams
• Support audits, inspections, and quality initiatives
Qualification
• B.Pharm / M.Pharm / Pharm.D from a recognized institution
Experience
• 1–5 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience in a multi-specialty hospital preferred
Skills
• Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge
• Good understanding of drug safety and interactions
• Effective communication and patient counseling skills
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team-based healthcare environment
