About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Dispense medications as per prescription and institutional protocols
• Maintain accurate drug inventory and ensure proper stock management
• Ensure safe storage and handling of medicines as per regulatory guidelines
• Maintain proper documentation of dispensing records and stock registers
• Assist in procurement and replenishment of essential medicines
• Provide guidance to patients regarding dosage, administration, and precautions
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, institutional policies, and quality standards
• Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff for effective patient care
• Perform any other duties assigned by the competent authority
Qualification
• B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) or D.Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) from a recognized university/institution
Experience
• Relevant post-qualification experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
Skills
• Knowledge of drug dispensing procedures and pharmacy regulations
• Inventory management and record-keeping skills
• Good communication and patient counseling abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Basic computer proficiency
