Pharmacist In-Charge

Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead and manage day-to-day pharmacy operations
• Take full responsibility for dispensary workflow, compliance, and service standards
• Ensure accurate and safe dispensing in line with legal and professional requirements
• Oversee pharmacy staffing, rostering, and task delegation
• Develop and maintain a strong, positive team culture
• Mentor and support pharmacists and pharmacy assistants
• Monitor KPIs and drive business performance and growth initiatives
• Implement and improve operational systems and processes
• Ensure compliance with AHPRA, state legislation, and professional pharmacy standards
• Maintain controlled drug registers and regulatory documentation
• Collaborate closely with the pharmacy owner on strategy, workflow, and performance
• Maintain high customer service standards and patient engagement
• Identify opportunities to expand professional services
• Handle escalations, patient concerns, and complex clinical queries
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Contribute to building the pharmacy’s reputation within the local community

Qualification
• Bachelor of Pharmacy, Master of Pharmacy
• Registered Pharmacist with current AHPRA registration

Experience
• Minimum 3 years post-registration experience
• Previous experience as a PIC preferred, but not essential
• Suitable for pharmacists ready to step into their first PIC role with mentorship
