Job Description
The pharmacist will provide clinical pharmacy services in hospital wards, clinics, and departments, focusing on optimizing medicine use, patient safety, and high-quality care. This role includes dispensing, aseptic preparation, extemporaneous compounding, patient counselling, education, and participation in clinical pharmacy rosters.

Key Features of the Role
• Part-time role: 64 hours per fortnight.
• Fixed-term contract until 9/8/2026.
• Work across hospital wards, clinics, and pharmacy departments.
• Participate in weekend, public holiday, overtime, and on-call rosters.
• Engage in patient counselling, staff education, and professional development activities.

Responsibilities
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
• Perform aseptic preparations, including chemotherapy and non-cytotoxic patient-specific doses.
• Conduct extemporaneous compounding as needed.
• Provide medicines information, counselling, and education for patients, carers, and staff.
• Support clinical pharmacy services across wards and departments.
• Participate in weekend, public holiday, and on-call rosters.
• Contribute to departmental education and training programs.

Required Qualifications
• Current registration as a pharmacist in Australia.
• Strong clinical knowledge and professional judgement.

Educational Requirements
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or equivalent degree.

Experience and Skills
• Hospital or clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic preparation, chemotherapy, or extemporaneous compounding is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for counselling and education.
• Ability to work flexibly across rosters and on-call duties.
